King James I settled English and Scottish Protestants in the northern province of Ulster.
In 1603 King James VI of Scotland became King James I of England and united England and Scotland under a new flag combining the Cross of St Andrew with the Cross of St George which the Navy referred to as The Union Jack.
King James I of England then gave the chieftains' land to English and Scottish Protestants.

I read the King James version of the New Testament in its entirety and some excerpts from the Old Testament just after the beginning of my pilgrimage.
I was looking for more info about King James himself and what manuscripts were used to translate the KJV of the Bible.
I feel that the King James version is the most accurate but there is nothing like the Spirit of God to show us the truth and teach us His word.
