These standards are established by NCTRC based on current research on the National Job Analysis for Therapeutic Recreation, which is also the basis for the national, standardized certification exam for the CTRS.
A stream core is made up of units required for tasks across all jobs in sport and recreation and elective studies are chosen from units in various sectors across the sport and recreation industry.
Jobs were frozen, employees were laid off, travel and training was suspended, appropriations to local charities and faith-based organizations were slashed and youth recreation programs were curtailed.
