The Fund supports Junior Giants summer leagues throughout Northern California and collaborates with the efforts of the San Francisco Giants to provide assistance to targeted community efforts.
In both cases, the individual leagues were facing decreasing enrollments at the Junior level and increasing challenges in offering a meaningful baseball experience to the kids under the Little League umbrella.
Development of a junior competitive team and ensuring all team members play in the leagues and a required amount of tournaments to help increase their match play and promote other juniors to enter the events.

Since 1971, the State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues of California has represented the interests of its member leagues and the groups or issue areas addressed by their projects to policy makers at the state and local levels.
Division Four was eliminated and the Leagues now consisted of three divisions of 16 teams each with promotion and relegation between divisions and play-offs between divisions and promotion for qualifying Junior Clubs to Division Three.
The Association of Junior Leagues International supports and promotes voluntarism as an essential component of our society and will continue to take action which will ensure the effectiveness of the voluntary sector.
