When people change from one union to another the contract that they have from the first union becomes void right? The company within the transition from one union to the other can start negotiating with the second union from scratch they do not have to start at the place where the other union left off right? |

I currently work at a summer camp and my contract is for a six week period. I started work on June 27 and finish on Aug 5. During this time period we do not work on July 1 and Aug 1. Last summer all of the staff at the camp were paid for both of these days. This year we have been told that for ever 20 hours we work before the holiday we will get one hour of pay for the holiday. Is this correct? |

I ahve managed a hotel for the past three years. I n April of this year , the owners re-hired the previous manager in a different capacity. Since being hired, she has been sabotaging my work and interfering with my staff. In total frustration, i gave my two weeks notice but deducted vacation time owing and worked the five days difference. Is there any legal recourse for me being pushed out of my job?

I have a friend who was hired as a Sicilian cook from Italy. She hasn't seen the wage contract , but was hired as a cook,40hr wk.When she got here here duties wasn't as a cook , but a pizza maker. She found another sponsor and is now working as a cook getting the proper wage for that position. She asked for her paycheck from the previous sponsor and he is withholding it because he wants the money it cost him to bring her here. I believe this is a Labour Board matter. Please help this person on what is her rights? |
