have a zero radius 145382 took spring for grass cutter off to change electric clutch and some other parts, and think we connected it back in the wrong place. it seems too loose. this is the short spring.

My mother has a 20 year old snapper mower with an 8hp engine. The electric starter was just repaired and after gettng it back from the repair shop the engine rmp races and will not drop back as it should. The man who worked on the mower says the governor is shot. Could he have knocked a spring off or left one off? If so, where should I look on the carberator? A diagram would help.

My 30inch cut rear engine Snapper mower locked up the rear wheels won`t turn now ..I took the clutch off and they still won`t turn ..I can put a big wrench on the inner nut the clutch plate goes around and I can turn the wheels but it`s real hard to turn ..whats going on ..and what do I need to know before I go in for sugery . |

i HAVE AN OLDER MODEL REAR ENGINE SNAPPER RIDING MOWER AND IT WONT GO INTO GEAR WHEN I PUT THE MOWER INTO GEAR YOU CAN STILL PUSH IT LIKE ITS NOT IN GEAR AND THE REAR ENDS SOUNDS LIKE ITS MAKING S CHAIN NOISE.I THINK I MAY HAVE BROKEN A CHAIN IN THE DRIVE BOX.hOW DO I GET TO THE CHAIN TO CHECK IT.THE NOISE COMES FROM A ROUND BLACK BOX LOCATED ON THE AXEL OF THE BACK WHEEL. |

A Snapper Lawn Cruiser (zero turn) model YZ145333BVE. Has a 14.5 HP motor and 33" single blade deck. You can get a 38" deck for this mower. Question is, why can't I put a 42" or 48" deck on this mower. Is it due to the engine size. I actually have a 18 HP motor just sitting looking for a place to live. Advise, should I try the 42" deck or not????? |

we bought a snapper riding mower for 200.00. the lawn mower wouldnt cut the grass. so we changed the belt. my husband decided to beat one of the pulleys next to the motor to change the belt. now we cant re adjust the clutch. when the pulley is touching the clutch, its makes noises. please help |

Changed axle boots on snapper 331313be, now it only pulls in reverse (weakly) and not at all in any forward gear. Detent type wear in yoke slot, loose in yoke swivel bushings, roller on chain case slot "finger" in good shape, mower was pulling good before changing boots. I pried on the yoke slot trying to get the chain case "finger" out of the yoke slot before removing the yoke swivel bushings to get it out. I can't see any visible bend in the yoke. Which of these should I tackle first |

How do I remove the front pulley to my rear engine snapper mower without loosening the blade? I tried to hold the pulley by hand to loosen the nut on top of the pulley, but I can not keep the pulley from turning. I am trying to access the blade brake that is below this pulley, do you have any suggestions? |

Snapper model LT150H331BV 2004. Brake/clutch tention became loose. I took of the deck and found that on the cable that runs from the back of the mower up to the clutch there is a spring that appears to have been attached some where. The thin wire on this spring (going towards the rear) has a sharp point like it was worn. Without this spring being attached the cable goes up into the pulley spring just above it. What was that spring attached to? Thanks!! |

How do you replace the brake cable on Snapper LT16, 48 inch cut?---
the adjustable beads, to tighten the cable, have maxed-out; apparently the cable itself has stretched, so I am going to replace, if I can. Meanwhile, I have no brakes (I gear down OR change direction/shift and pop the clutch but it drasticly shortens the life of the clutch )
So how do I replace the brake cable? |

I have an 1988 Snapper LT16 with intermittent spark. I can still get the Briggs & Stratton Armature-Mag assembly which is installed under the fan cowling. The clearances look really tight to remove the cowling, exposing the ignition parts. Does the engine have to be removed to service the ignition components? Thanks |
