Following the national League's lead, the New Jersey League worked at the local and state levels to support the programs of the Office of Economic Opportunity and the creation of the State Division on Civil Rights.
However it was decided the proposals would be referred to the National League System Committee with a recommendation that the Football Conference and the National League System Committee work together in order that the best interests of the game can be upheld.
The Conferences proposed rule changes must be accepted next month by the FAs sanctions and registrations committee and then be referred to the National Leagues System although the FA Council will be the ultimate body to sit in judgment.
