I have pain in my shins constantly. Also my ankles swell. I do have sciatic nerve problems but everything is hurting now. My sciatic nerve is making me have pain down to my feet. What can I do I feel every joint also especially where the top of the leg joins the body!

The Doctor I had been seeing since 1999, put me on Toprol-XL, why I don't know-but I normally have a low blood pressure 80-90/50-60, but I was passing out, while on this medication, I had a clot or something on the left leg, 1/2 way up my thigh, she just brushed it off as nothing, so I got out the information sheet on side affects and what the Toprol-XL was for - FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! Out of all the side effects listed, I was expericing 99% of these, I am very ill with many diseases from having a mascetomy when I was 32 yrs old, now 56,, in 1998 the best Doctor I have ever had, took his time and was sincere in caring for me, but do the the lawsuits from implants and he and other Doctors in Houston, Tx being threaten by Manufactor's and Their Lawyers, I had to find another Dr., well last year she put me on 4 medications, been pulled off the market for the side-effects, in which I went to the ER so many times, and Toprol-XL was one of them, she would not admit me on any of these medications she had given me and check me out and treat me! I would certainly check out to the fullest way before your husband takes this medication, I found out the hard way, trusting my doctor-WRONG-keep researhing, I was dizzy, passing-out and out cold, my husband, thank the lord was at home one time when I stopped breathing, and 2x/s at the Dr.'s Office, they did nothing. Thankfully, I have found a new Doctor, and she is sending to various specility Drs, she cares, takes her time with you, and listens to your problems and does not push you out of the office as fast as she can get through with me. A second opinion is certainly well worth it if your husband's Dr. does not check all out before prescribing this medication, as I was. I am experiencing some somewhat new problem. It deals with dizziness. Possibly 50 to 60 % of the time it will not hit me real hard until I have moved 15 or most feet after getting on my feet or straightening up from a bent or crouched position. Then my head will start to experience this dizzy sensation, and I usually find that I have to stop, get ahold of something and lower my head for a number of seconds. Then it might go away. I am presently on the following meds:Levothyroxin (1 ea .112 mg daily), Amitriptyline (1 to 3 25 mg daily)clonazepam (1 mg at bedtime),Lovostatin (40 mg at bed time)I am taking B-12 shots once a month plus 1000mcg tablet each day: Naproxen (500 mg 1 tab. 2 per day for pain, when pain is real bad methodone 5 mg one tablet by mouth 2 times a day: 81 mg Aspirin one at bed time. I was taken off of Tegratol 200 mg 4 times daily about 3-4 months ago. I was diagnosed with Seizures in 1990, (3 grand mal and no idea about any of the other 34 brands of seizures they claim to be. When these dizzy spells hit, at the conclusion I will have a dull ache at the base of my neck for a little while, then it all clears up..
I am a 50%(PTSD) and 0 % hearing loss from Tinitus Disabled American Veteran, doctoring at VAMC Reno.
It seems to me that these spells are comming on somewhat of a more frequency.
My regular Dr's are Dr. C Calvanese and Dr. Parker for regular care. I have my blood taken every 3 months, My blood press. is usually around 120 over 70 or so. Heartbeat is ususally about 75
I am a 66 yr old male, weight 210 and hight about 73 inches.

I have had X-Rays and found that I have 4 degenerated disc's in my back 2 severe and 2 bad. They put me on therapy, now I am under goind epidural injections and nothing seems to work, I guess the disc are putting pressure on my siatic nerve, will anthing else help other than surgery and what will they do when and if they operate? I take pain medicine two or three times a day and I don't want to do that the rest of my life, but I cannot stand or walk for very long. I am currently taking Wellbutrin XL for depression, I have been on many different meds on and off for the last 8 and half years. I also just started taking Atenolol for high blood pressure, which has also helped me with my aggressive behavior towards my husband. I am also overweight and can seem to keep weight that I lose off. I have also had a Hysterectomy about 4 years ago and are on HRT. I want to try Relacore for losing weight but I'm not sure if I can since I am on regular medication. |

Dear Sirs: My 16 year old daughter was raped on June 27, 2005. We believe that she was drugged by either rohypnol or gamma-hydrowxbutyric. How long do these drugs stay in the system.
