SMS Client is a UNIX command line based utility which allows you to send SMS messages to mobile phones and pagers.
SMS messages are alphanumeric text messages of a few hundred characters or so that can be sent for immediate display on the screens of pagers and cellularwireless telephones.
Your sms message is sent via storm's GSM modem, transferred onto the cellular network and then routed to the selected cell phones.

SMS is the email of phone messaging, it is fast, cheap and effective and can be bundled with the contract for a few cents or less per message.
