Post offices, local food stores and supermarkets play a vital role in maintaining shopping in smaller rural areas and as such, local policies should be supportive of local facilities that provide valuable services to the local community.
Modernisation of Post Offices in the Region started in 1994and since then large number of Post Offices has been given face lift and provided with adequate infrastructure to ensure quality in our service to the customers.
It is important that post offices serve our local communities and that Government policy objectives can be delivered through that post office network.
