Every night my two boys cry because they want to go home , but we cant, so i'm writing you to ask for some help. I know you have alot of letters like this every day, but this would mean the world to me family to go home. We are staying with my mom and my boys sleep on a mattress on the floor and me and my husband sleep on the couch. All i want is to say, come kids lets go home. Please help me and my family i dont know what else to do . we work so hard for everything that we have and now we are about to lose our home. Thank You for your time. From: Karen Marie 2005-08-21 04:35:08 | First off I don't want anything from you. I have no idea why I'm on this site. Its 3:55 am now, and something seemed to pull me to my pc, and here I sit. I'm alergic to the light so the night is my at peace time. Anyway... I just felt the need to tell you what a great soul you have. I know you have thousands every day with sad stories in need of your help. No one person know matter how rich you are can help all the people in need. The presure you must have in your heart hearing so many cries for help and knowing that your only one person and can't take the whole world on your shoulders. I for one feel for you. I am a true beleaver in GOD put us all on this earth for a reason some of us never figure out what that reason is and only a handful do. ( I for one still don't have a clue) but when someone does, it must be the greatest feeling known to man (or woman). The way you have touched so many people in their heart ( and I don't mean with your money) that truely is a God sent gift. With that in mind never feel bad about not being able to help everyone who is in need of money. Just keep doing what you was born to do.
P.S every bad thing that happened to you in the past is what made you what you are today. If you ever need another friend feel free to say hi.
oops another ps...lol they need a spell check on here, I not the brightest buld on the tree.

From: Darlene Heard 2007-07-07 21:42:25 | Hello. I dont know what drew me to you on this computer. However, I am very disappointed.I am a widow woman. My husband died about three and a half years ago. I have three children ages 21,20,18; they are all in college. Trying to maintain the house hold is a chore, and trying to maintain the transportation is another chore. MY son and I need reliable transportation for college. He is going to the University of Southeastern in Hammond, Louisiana. I have been looking and putting in application for a reliable car. Different well respected dealerships have turned me and my son down. I even called the dealerships based on their TV commercials;saying that if I had challenged credit, they could help. I also have been taking care of my mom who was recently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure; so I have been on family medical leave; which put my paychecks at a all time low. Ive gone to the car dealership where it $49-$299 down. I could afford that, but the salesman talks so fast, and the cars I tried had a negative (like when you turn the wheel you here the popping sound of the wheel under the car, or when you get in the car you cant adjust the seat forwards or backwards). The regular dealerships with the commercial ( my salesman assigned to didnt call me back,he went home). I guess my credit score is so awful, no one wont to deal with me or my children. I guess I am writing this because, maybe you can help. I would be appreciative if you knew a mechanic that can go with me the the $49-$299 down dealerships and help me pick out a good running car for me and my son. My son car is not doing very well. He works two jobs to try to get enough tuition at Southwestern University at Hammond, La. He estimated that it would be $7000 for him to live in the dorm, tuition, books, food. He has already sunked $900 from his college fund into his old car. We will appreciate any help you can provide. Our email is darleh9@aol.com Also please if there is no help, please send up a fervent prayer. We need all the help we can get. Thanks' |
From: FROM: Veronica 2007-06-21 15:14:12 | To Oprah
I have been a fan of yours since I was a teenager and I still am now that I am older. I have always wanted to meet you. It wasn't until Celine Dions grand opening at the Ceasars Palace when you interviewed her that I was able to meet you close and I couldn't believe that I was actually their. I'm writing to you to ask you for help to make my husbands dream come true their are several things that I would want for him but one would be good. If you only knew all the things that have happened to us. I really would like to make my husbands day for one day. We are originally from El Paso, Texas and we left El Paso to go to Las Vegas to live better and we were living better. In 2004 my father in-law got hurt at work and due to that he cut himself and his wound was not healing. His job turned their backs on him and said that they couldn't do anything. He was in and out of the hospital. Down the line we found out that he had no circulation on his legs and they would have to operate to open the veins. The surgeries went well but they still neede to do his other leg and he didn't have any money so they waited to do the other surgery. Then he also had to get laser surgery in his eyes cause he wasn't seeing that good. Then my mother in-law got sick she had to get operated from gul stones so we had both my in-laws in the hospital. We had to go help them get better and take care of both until they were able to take care of themselves. Then my father in-law received news from his brothers and sisters that his mother was dying so my in-laws traveled by car to come to Las Vegas and from here in Las Vegas we were going to go all together to Tulare California for the funeral, this is already in 2005. We went in 3 vehicles to California. In one it was my husband, daughter and I. The other vehicle was my sister in-law and brother in-law. and the other vehicle was my sister in-law, brother in-law, father in-law and mother in-law. We stayed a couple of days over their then on Sep.13,2005 we burried my father in-laws mother and that same day we came back. We were half an hour to arrive to Barstow so we stopped to eat something then we continued. When we got to Barstow my sister in-law and brother in-law were ahead then it was us then it was my other sister in-law that had my in-laws with her. We were only 1/2 a mile away from my sister inlaw then all of the sudden we see a car flip and all this dirt lift into the air. Immediately!! we called them and their was no answer and we kept on and kept on calling and nothing so we knew that it was them and then we got ahold of my other sister in-law and my brother in law told us that my father in law go ejected from the SUV. My husband panicked and I was crying and screaming and saying no, no. My husband decided to drive in the opposite direction to get to the accident. At that moment we weren't thinking and we were actually risking our lives and our daughters too. When we got to the accident a police stopped us and told us if we were the ones that were coming from on coming traffic and we said yes. "He told us that he almost shot us because we could have caused another accident" we just opologized and then he let us through my brother in-law was bleeding from his nose and had a lot of bruses, my sister in-law had internal bleeding, and a concussion,my mother in-law was stuck in the vehicle for more than 30 minutes upside down. My father in-law broke his hips, legs, ankles and had a head injury. when the paramedics took out my mother in-law they told us that they had to fly both of them to the nearest hospital in california. and my brother and sister in-laws were driven by ambulance to the nearest hospital in barstow so we went to the barstow hospital to pick my sister and brother in-laws after a couple of hours they released them and we called to Arrohead Hospital to find out how my in-laws were doing and right their they told us that my father in-law didn't make it and that my mother in-law was in major surgery. That was the hardest thing to have heard. So we left right away to Arrowhead and they let us see my father in-law, he was already cold all his surgeries opened up from his body. Then they told us that my mother in-law went into comma, she had to have her spleen removed, one of her lungs collapsed, some of her ribs were broken, she had bruses and was all swollen when she woke up she was asking for my father in-law and we were telling her that he was resting. One of the times that they turned her they noticed that she had chemical burns all in her back so they had to scrape her back and put cloths on her. As she was getting more alert doctors had decided that it was time to tell her about my father in-law. Then after a week we transfered my father in-law to El Paso and then my mother in-law. My mother in-law was able to go home so that we could make the preperations for the funeral. After my father in-laws barriel we helped my mother in-law get better but then where she had had surgery it got infected and we took her to the hospital and they told us that she had to stay and that they would have to open her wound again so when they had opened her wound and they were cleaning her her cut was very deep in the stomach and I almost passed out. All this time I had notified where I worked and they were ok with it. It wasn't until 3 days before going back that I receive a call that they were going to replace me. During all this we had just sold our house so we were homeless living in a hotel and in the process of buying a house the real estaters were pressuring us for the closing costs on the house and to fill the paper work. When we got back we finally got the house but lost my job. I had to take time off from looking for a job because my daughter needed help with coping with the death of my father in-law. All this time my husband has been paying for bills, house payment, food,my daughters things from school and he has not one time complained about how much we are struggling to make ends meat right now. He didn't deprive us of the things we needed although we knew that we didn't have enough. What he would do was to go to the casino and try and win something and everytime he won he would take us out to eat or treat us to some place nice. He had some money saved up for a 53 Chevy that he has back home in El Paso and he had to use it for some other things. So what I want to do is to make my husbands dream and get his 53 Chevy fixed up and surprise him. He has showe my daughter and I how much he loves us and that we always come first no matter what so in return I would love to do this for him but unable to do it on my own. So I'm asking you that you please help me to make my husbands dream come true and not only that but in part it was also my father in-laws dream too because he loved old cars too.YOU CAN CONTACT ME AT MY E-MAIL ADDRESS v_carabay@yahoo.com It would really mean a lot to me that you consider me in making my husbands dream come true |

From: Asana Mohammed 2007-01-18 07:41:48 | Dear Sir/Madam,
May I please ask for your attention and your help???
I would very much like to draw your attention to the following.
My name is Asana Mohammed. I am 35 years old. I live in the Netherlands,
but come from Ghana (West Africa).
Could you please pay attention to following?
I would be extremely grateful if you could consider the following cry for assistance.
Ever since I was a child, I had a dream. My dream was that I wanted to build a
school one day to help orphan children and children whose parents are very
poor as well as adults who cannot read or write.
A part of my dream has already come true! For the past years - since 1999, I
have started building a school in the North part of Ghana. The school
contains five classrooms and one office.
I have managed to finish two classrooms. At present there are about 45
students (including five orphan children) who use these two classrooms.
These are things which has to be down on this project:
Below is a list containing the essentials required for this project:
- Three classrooms
- An office and a meeting place
- Toilets
- A praying-ground
- A library
- A canteen
I have already gathered some used tables and chairs, but we will need more.
In addition, I will also need books and pens. As for the little kids, we also
need educational appliances and toys. I could also use all sorts of sporting
goods such as: footballs, tennis balls, and hockey-sticks so that the students can
also participate in sports activities after school.
Used computers would also be extremely useful for educating the students on how to deal with
computers so that they may profit from this in their future. Means of
communication are also very important, but for the time being, I would like to
focus on a telephone connection and then in the future perhaps I am able to look for the
possibilities of Internet.
After school-time, I want to use the school for a meeting-place to educate the
adults. In the school building, there will be a library,
a computer-centre, a regional recreation-training and a meeting-room.
Afterwards I hope to create employment and lively trade in that area.
My financial situation has become extremely difficult and my resources are very limited. This is why I am addressing my plea to you to ask for your assistance, if you can, to help me fulfil my dream: a better future for children in Ghana.
I sincerely hope you can help me.
Thank you very much for your attention and your help.
Yours faithfully,
Asana Mohammed
