From: jwalker1100@yahoo.com 2005-05-18 21:00:37	i have a 1981 7.5 hp honda. runs great until i put cowling on.tried cleaning all hoses,carb,lines etc.but as soonas i put cover down ,it dies out. i evev put vasoline & flour on inside of cowling to see if any chaffing .even cut hole in cowling @ carb intake because it acts like its not getting air. any suggestions,please. thanks . jhw

It ran fine for about 2 hours, it died and then would only run at idal speed, or just a little faster then idal. It is a older model 115 hp about a 1980 or close. I look for the fuel filter to see if it was clogged I can't find it any suggestions would help me. I know you should never borrow a boat however I did !!! any help would be great.

From: Jim 2008-08-26 14:47:49	Increase HP 1973 Evinrude 18 hp Fast Twin electric start.Is the cubic inch displacement the same as larger power heads, etc 25 hp. In some cases all that is required is a carburetor change. What larger power-heads might be interchangeable?
