Police Chief discussed the issue of unlicensed vehicles and changes in procedures of violation notification.
We were able to avoid a 90 day administrative revocation at the Department of Motor Vehicles hearing due to the police officers failure to appear.
Authorization for police vehicles shall be designated by the chief administrative official of each police department.

Police can charge drivers of PARKED vehicles with DUI if they have the keys to that vehicle in their possession.
Some vehicles if equipped with a backseat camera and microphone can have the test done in the back seat of the police vehicle.
State police or the highway patrol should be checked for regulations concerning the use and equipment of motor vehicles.

The police department will cite vehicles illegally parked and may assist apartment managers with enforcement.
Police records must be obtained, witnesses interviewed and photographs taken immediately of the damages to the vehicles and of the accident scene.
