One way that American Indian cultures are kept alive today is with festivals called Pow Wows.
Pow wows are times when I can see other indian friends and share the rituals of our people.
I love to visit Pow Wows and different Festivals the Native American Indians host.

In the early 1950's, our lodge was invited to participate in the weekly Pow Wows on the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation.
They met at the San Antonio River though their village was in a terrestrial pocket which was the site of native pow-wows in favorable seasons.
